Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah WA Barakatahu...

Every day you should be better, wiser, more patient and more accepting than yesterday. Make it your ultimate goal to improve your character and overcome your shortcomings.
The most comforting thing to keep in mind is that even if you’re struggling and falling into mistakes- Allah sees your effort and rewards you for trying. Stay strong and move forward!

Almighty. Keep us steadfast in our prayers and worship done solely for You. Grant us humility and submission always, never showing off or feeling that we’re more pious than the person next to us. Protect us from being arrogant and to never judge others.
Ameen Allah Huma Ameen.

I read a story about a Turkish man who lived during the reign of the Ottoman Khilaafat that said:

A man bought two kilograms of grapes in the morning and sent it to his home. When he got home in the evening he took his supper and after reclining for a while asked for some of the grapes.
His wife told him that they ate all of the grapes and there was nothing left.
The man immediately got up and left his home with his wife calling for him. He returned some time later with his family frantically waiting for him.
When they asked him where he had been all the time he explained :

When his wife told him that there were no more grapes left he suddenly realised that they forgot about him even whilst he was still alive and did not even consider to save one grape for him. He then realised that he could not rely on them to remember him after his death to give some sadaqah on his behalf.
The lesson: Do not rely on others to do good deeds that will benefit you after your death. Do them yourself for yourself whilst you are still alive.
